  1. Thanks for the nod!

I hope folks enjoy the blog. It was started at the instigation of my old alma mater, the Columbus College of Art and Design. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they would be more than welcome!

  2. The blog is up to 79 installments now. The last dozen or so have included a history of book cover design over the past 200 years.

Before that, the blog has covered topics ranging from typography and graphic design to techniques and use of reference material.

  3. I sent my Bee Children’s Book Cover up to you. Did you get it? Did i format it right for you? I have yahoo email only. Please get back to me if you’re going to critique or have you gotten it. Do you critique children’s covers? Just wondering. I need advice badly.

    1. No…there is nothing there. At the top of the blog page, under the title, there is a tag that says “Submit a post.” That’s where you can send me a cover. I don’t know if there is a limit on image size, so just to be safe don’t send a version that is very large.

        1. I got your cover design and it looks really nice! I had only a couple of suggestions—more cosmetic than anything else. My reply was made via a private post on the blog site. I’m still feeling my way around Tumblr and how it works. If you can’t find the reply, please let me know.

  4. I was looking through that blog a bit, it’s helpful. I’m still learning typography, so for me it hit the nail right on the head.
