Witty and engaging!  Only two thoughts:

  1. Go ahead, make your byline bigger. You’ve got the space.
  2. The smiling head with a pipe immediately makes me think of “Bob” from the Church of the Subgenius. If that’s a conscious reference, great; if not, you may want a slightly different image — say, with a hat?

  1. Are you sure pink is the right color for this manly men’s guide to manliness? Being in such close proximity to the girliest color might cause your readers’ dicks to drop off.

    1. I think that a.) the pink creates a bright contrast, so if any other color were to be used, a hunter blaze orange might be the best option, and that b.)pink also works because it plays to the stereotype of the man being dragged to the mall by his wife/girlfriend. Shopping can be perceived as a very girly experience, so this suggests surviving all the girly pinkness. I think the pink works fine.

      1. Orange would also work not only because of the bright contrast, but because prisoners also wear orange, and a man can feel like he’s being held captive in the shopping situation.

    2. The pink has been dirtied up and is darker than girly pink.

Personally, I think that all dicks around this will stay secured. To be fair though, I’m not really the target guy for this book and I kinda like pink, so…

  2. Oh my goodness…this is awesome! I don’t have a lot of experience (read: none) with cover design, but I know what I like, and I like this. I might even have to get this for my dad…LOL!

    1. Oh my goodness…this is awesome! I do have a lot of experience (read: some) with cover design, and I know what I like, but I like this. I might even have to get this for my pop…LOL!

      Plagiarism!

  3. Yeah, I can see the appeal; it rather reminds one of the art on the wrappings of products at old frontier general stores. Just one detail I’d question: is this the cover, or a photograph of the cover? The slight darkness around the edges suggests the latter. I suppose that artificial aging adds to the rustic charm of the artwork when you’re working with the electronic edition, but if you publish a physical edition, I would suggest not having it look so dark and worn around the edges; let the cover naturally age itself into looking that way.

  4. That’s really nice. Agree with the suggestion of making author’s name bigger and using orange camo instead of pink camo.
